5K At The Runway

On Saturday, November 12th, join Ontario International Airport in celebrating our fifth year of travel, transformation, and growth with our final event of the year — 5K at the Runway! Proceeds go towards supporting the Bob Hope USO this Veterans Day weekend.
Running parallel to the breathtaking San Gabriel Mountains and within sight of Mount Baldy itself, Ontario International Airport is a low-lying and flat area that’s just perfect for a run! This three-lap course on the south side of the airfield will be fast and fun – just like our airport experience.
Part of what makes ONT unique is the wide variety of operations at the airport. And as a runner on this course, you’ll get to experience practically everything ONT has to offer! You’ll run by parked aircraft that have been used in films, alongside aircraft cargo containers, and out onto breezy straightaways where you can see aircraft out in the distance gearing up for takeoff. Come join us for this unique airfield experience!
Afterwards, come have some fun with ONT and its partners in the National Guard Hangar! From 8:00 am until noon, we’re hosting a free Community Event that’s open to the public — no registration required! This is a space that’s been used for everything from filming to swanky mixer events, and now it’s going to play host to our community. There’ll be food trucks parked outside, awesome booths to visit, and more. Come hang out with us!
- 7:00 am: 5K at the Runway
- 8:00 am: Family Walk/Run
- 8:00 am until 12:00 pm: Community Event in the National Guard Hangar (free to the public)
