Mission Trails Regional Park is a beautiful park, with amazing trails, rugged hills, valleys and meadows and represents a San Diego prior to the landing of Cabrillo in San Diego Bay in 1542. Its also the setting for the first children for children 5k.

What is this event?

Hi, I’m your race director, Natasha Preece. I’m 13 years old and I just want to make a difference. 

Children for children 5k is a project that I started two years ago, when I realized that not all kids are as privileged and they don’t have as many opportunities as many of us do to practice sports. So, the idea came to do a fun 5k, where children could help another children.

All the proceeds of this race will go to helping children play sports, have fun and learn more about themselves. So come out, enjoy one of San Diego’s most beautiful parks and help other kids to get active in sports.
