There are opportunities virtually every weekend to run a 5K, 10K, or half marathon in the San Diego area, but you hardly ever get a chance to run a mile all-out!

Our USATF-certified course on Vulcan Avenue in downtown Encinitas is the perfect setting for such a race: it’s flat, scenic, and spectator-friendly. The mile distance is accessible to a wide range of people and, along with the marathon, is one of the few running events that even non-runners understand. “What’s your best mile time?” is a common question asked of runners. The Encinitas Mile will help you answer it. All participants will receive a high-quality T-shirt produced by boom Running.
